Thank you for visiting our website. We are Ian, Kingsley, and Alistair Bryce and we operate our family's fishing vessel, the NERKA #1. We fish for Albacore Tuna on the North Pacific Ocean, offshore from California to Haida Gwaii.

A few years ago we realized that little or no North Pacific Albacore Tuna was available locally. It was all going to sushi restaurants or to markets overseas. We began to develop and sell the line of products we are proud to offer as Natural Gift Seafoods. We use only our own premium hook and line troll caught Albacore Tuna for all our Natural Gift Seafoods products. All of our products are processed and packaged in Canadian government HAACP inspected and approved facilities. We stand behind our products 100%.

The Albacore Tuna we catch are surface feeders, and will come up from as deep as 70 meters to take an artificial lure or jig. Once hooked, the fish are brought in to the boat, stunned, bled, and thoroughly washed. The fish are immediately put on freezer plates in the hold, where they are quickly frozen to -30 c. Fast freezing and extremely cold temperatures ensure that our fish maintains its high quality from the moment it's caught until you serve it.

We are as proud of our fish as we are of our fishery. The fish we catch are young, healthy, and are rich in Omega 3 fatty acid. Our fishery is one of the greenest and cleanest in the world and has been eco-certified by the Marine Stewardship Council. With all the bad news about depleted fish stocks, destructive and energy-intensive commercial fishing methods we are proud to be part of a fishery that is well managed and sustainable.

Our troll caught North Pacific Albacore Tuna are recognized as ocean-friendly and the “best of the best” by the Vancouver Aquarium's Ocean Wise and the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch programs.

Here at home we support the Nature Trust of B.C. and contribute a portion of all our sales to the Nature Trust of B.C.

Thanks again for your interest in Natural Gift Seafoods. If you have any questions about our company, our fishery or our products, please feel free to contact us.

Yours truly,
